Pricing a Book on Amazon Kindle

Posted by Lukas Hernandez

When pricing a self-published book we need to consider some important key factors. For starters, if the author is new and does not have an extensive audience then it is important the price is going to gain attention from new fans. The primer goal for a new author is to build their email list and to make sure that many people are buying their book to put them on the map (or at the top of a subcategory on amazon). To get the attention of new fans and to make quick conversions that will help gain reviews the author needs to make sure that the book is priced at a point that won’t make the book seem too cheap but will also make people convert into reading the new hit novel. The issue with many self-published authors is that they want to maximize income for their work and not be patient by building their audience. The sales will come once the author gains an audience because their fans will be waiting for the new release.

Thoughts on Giveaways Being an Effective Marketing Strategy

Posted by Lukas Hernandez

Last week I was in the mood for a bag of cashews to hold me over until dinner. I decided the most convenient place for me to stop by was the Local 7-11 in Damascus Maryland. As soon as I walked in I was pleasantly surprised by a sign that read “Free Slurpee Day.” You can bet I went and grabbed a small cup and chose the blueberry lemonade flavor. I paid the cashier for the cashews and went on my way to enjoy an interesting mix of a Slurpee and cashews.

Meeting with a Construction Client

Posted by Lukas Hernandez

Earlier this week we had the privilege to meet with a new construction client that is an industry leader in their niche of remodeling commercial apartment complexes. It was motivating to hear about how their business started and how in under ten years were able to gross over four million in profits. The total staff includes seven individuals and it seems that the owner/leader has done a great job selecting strong personnel who represent him and his brand. They described their leader during the meeting as smart, loyal and family oriented. It was nice to see what it looks like for employees to work with a great leader who spends half the time in the USA and half in Argentina. This goes to show us that anything is possible when you build a company with a strong team.

Traveling is the Best Way to Dial in on Your Negotiation Skills

Posted by Lukas Hernandez

If you really want to work on your negotiation skills then it is time to take a trip to a third world country. Recently I took a trip to Jamaica for a five-day vacation to explore new land and to get a feel of the Jamaican lifestyle. I was able to see beautiful beaches, rivers, and waterfalls. Jamaica is a beautiful country that has 120 rivers that everyone should take the time to visit. Although the beautiful scenery and delicious food were great I was much more interested in the Jamaican hustle. It seemed that every Jamaican was a small business owner and their top customers were tourists. This gave all purchases negotiable.

(Case Study) Half Million Dollar Contract Negotiated

Posted by Lukas Hernandez

A little over a year ago we got referred to a client in need of helping secure a commercial cleaning contract. In the initial meetings, our new client told us that he was having issues communicating with management personnel at the property and that they are getting a new building doubling in size. For disclosure reasons I can’t say the name of the building.
