What Authenticity in a Business Setting Means

Algorithmic Global finalized its’ mission statement on Friday, November 8th. The verdict? “An authentic approach to generating new leads and enhancing the clientele experience.” Let’s take a look at the word authentic and why it’s such an important asset of becoming a modern business.

According to Merriam-Webster, authentic is described as:

au·then·tic |adjective
1: worthy of acceptance or belief as conforming to or based on fact
2: not false or imitation
3: true to one’s own personality, spirit, or character
Moral of the story? Authenticity is about truth. Truth is about learning how to make money not from people, but with people. That doesn’t exclude businesses selling products that are for pleasure or aren’t a necessity. Nor does that exclude businesses who carry a service that may not increase net worth of a business or individual. In fact, these are the types of business who need to look deeper into this new theory of business. Algorithmic Global has it easy; in order to stay true to authenticity, all we need to do is genuinely give what we’re offering. Of course, that sounds like an obvious thing. However even businesses in digital marketing can come up with easy techniques to scam their clients out of more money than is necessary for running a marketing campaign online. It’s not about what you sell, it’s about how you sell it.

This photo resonated with us when it appeared on our feed. Why? It encapsulated the message we’ve been working on:
Authenticity in its most successful form changes the culture surrounding it.
That’s because the world leans on labels, stereotypes, well-woven paths of success. Just like the way the neurons in our own brains follow repeating patterns, culture does so too. When you feel anxiety navigate itself through your brain it follows the well-worn neuron path to tell you to bite your fingernails. Similarly, when we see a socially accepted way of presenting oneself again and again, we may find ourselves replicating such a lifestyle.
That’s where authenticity becomes an antidote. See, just like when you express your true self others can be inspired to express themselves truly, same goes for businesses. When we at Algorithmic Global approach each client with an individual approach, based on their needs, and don’t use inflated prices to produce our business’ profit, other digital marketing businesses will have no choice but to do the same.
Paving a new neural pathway isn’t easy, and neither is paving a new form of marketing. Ethical marketing may be, as we’ve been told in the past, an unlikely form in a capitalist market, but we intend to at least try. And anyways, it’s working for us so far.
