When creating a new page on a website, the SEO professional needs to know the purpose of each SEO tags so that the page can get the most engagement. Next, it is essential to do keyword research to know what keywords are going to be used within the page. Knowing your targeted keywords is important so that the website can pop up on top of the Search Network when that particular keyword is used. Here are four of the most important SEO tags to include on a website: 

  1. The SEO <TITLE > Tag?

The <TITLE> tag is the most potent tag on any page. This tag is the name given to the dedicated page. For most websites, the home page <TITLE> will be the most powerful tag on any website because it is where the most traffic occurs. It is essential to make the <TITLE> tag no longer than 80 characters. When writing the title tag, look to weave your target keywords in a concise, fun, readable way. 

2. The <H1> SEO Tags

Google prefers the <H1> (Header) tag family. This tag is the name that shows up on the page. Outside of SEO tags, the next most important piece is the page text. Every word that appears on your page is a powerful keyword opportunity to get to the top of Google. Write down a few paragraphs about your company’s products or services that include your target keywords. Make sure to write HIGH-QUALITY content, using proper grammar and related keyword phrases. The trick is to write keyword-heavy content that is Google friendly, that is also well-written for humans and reads naturally.
